Mai-Wel was formed in November 1960 when a number of Maitland-based families met and shared their concerns about the lack of recognition of the needs of their children with disability for education and opportunities for life. In the 60 years since, Mai-Wel has grown to be one of the most well-known providers of disability supports and employment services for people with disability and youth. Our services are delivered across the Hunter Region, with offices in Maitland, Cessnock and Dungog.
