The Role:
The Practice Advisor - Complex Case Management role is part of the Employment Pathway at Mai-Wel, providing crucial support and expertise to the Employment Pathways team. This hybrid role involves maintaining an active caseload and delivering contemporary advice and practice to operational teams, including engagement with homelessness, family violence, addiction, dual diagnosis, legal, and financial supports. You will report to the Senior Practice Advisor and work collaboratively across all sites and programs.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify needs, connect, and refer recommendations for identified barriers and social support services.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement evidence based interventions.
  • Work in a cross-functional capacity across all sites and programs/contracts.
  • Support and mentor regional teams to optimise their performance.
  • Provide expert advice on operations, guidelines and standards.
  • Lead and model a culture of stronger participant voice and participation across the Employment Services portfolio.
About You:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in human or social services, including psychology, social work, social sciences, youth work, health, mental illness, education, and/or employment.
  • Cert IV or above qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Mental Health, or a relevant field.
  • Ability to assess and understand the impacts of interventions for individuals with trauma within the employment pathways.
  • Specialist knowledge of youth employment services and non-vocational barriers to employment.
  • Experience in engaging, motivating, training and mentoring others.
  • Strong cultural awareness and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Suite and capable of analysing data to drive operational improvements.
