Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the employer and participant to assist in addressing any issues that may prevent the participant from achieving on-going, sustainable employment.
- Provide or refer participants to services or interventions required to address the participants’ non-vocational barriers to maintaining employment.
- Provide career / vocational counselling, or refer to appropriate services.
- Ensure that participants on the job training and support needs are identified and incorporated into the Job Plan.
- Participate in regular professional supervision and the annual performance review, including the development and monitoring of personal goals and professional development plans.
- Completing all associated administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
- Knowledge of recruitment practices, employee and employer rights and responsibilities.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad understanding of vocational and non-vocational support needs for young people with disabilities.
- Current driver’s license.
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Experience in a similar role
