About the Role:
The role of Post Placement Support involves building and maintaining strong relationships with participants and their employers to ensure successful and sustainable employment outcomes.
This role requires creative thinking, networking, and problem-solving to overcome barriers and support individuals in their employment journey.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the employer and participant to assist in addressing any issues that may prevent the participant from achieving on-going, sustainable employment.
  • Provide or refer participants to services or interventions required to address the participants’ non-vocational barriers to maintaining employment.
  • Provide career / vocational counselling, or refer to appropriate services.
  • Ensure that participants on the job training and support needs are identified and incorporated into the Job Plan.
  • Participate in regular professional supervision and the annual performance review, including the development and monitoring of personal goals and professional development plans.
  • Completing all associated administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential:
  • Knowledge of recruitment practices, employee and employer rights and responsibilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Broad understanding of vocational and non-vocational support needs for young people with disabilities.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in a similar role
