The Role:
Are you an experienced professional with a flair for negotiation, a knack for nurturing relationships, and a talent for finding the best value rather than just the lowest price? Mai-Wel is seeking a Business Partner – Contracts to drive best practice procurement and manage commercial contracts with a focus on sustainability, value and ethical sourcing. This is not just a procurement role—it's an opportunity to shape the way we manage our resources, ensuring we get the best value for our investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Vendor Contracts - Negotiate vendor contracts to support current and future operations.
- Vendor Relationship Management - Ensure service level agreement deliverables and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Procurement Policy & Process Design - Design and implement procurement policies and processes, including developing user training guides.
- Expense Analysis - Conduct expense analysis for sustainability and identify spending patterns.
- Cost Efficiency - Provide recommendations for cost and resource utilisation efficiencies.
- More than 5 years in a similar senior role with a strong background in procurement, contract management, or a related field.
- Detailed understanding of tender processes, purchasing and contract management practices.
- Extensive experience in a senior commercial role with experience inn expense analysis, business analytics and/or procurement.
- Proven experience in vendor selection processes, negotiation, and financial management.
- A natural communicator with the ability to nurture vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with Mai-Wel’s values and goals.
- Working knowledge of service level agreement requirements for key business contracts (ICT, commercial vendors, other manager services)
- Awareness of NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission practice standards and compliance audits.
- Experience with Business Central or similar ERP systems
